Day 1 – 14 April, Fly to Shanghai
Fly from your UK regional airport to Shanghai.
Day 2 – 15 April, Arrive Shanghai
On arrival at the airport in Shanghai, you will be met by our representative and shown to your private transfer to your accommodation, to check-in for a five-night stay. The rest of the day is at your leisure to relax after your journey, or to explore the local area.
Day 3 – 16 April, Shanghai (B)
Enjoy a private tour of Shanghai including sights such as the Yu Yuan Gardens, the Jade Buddha Temple, the Shanghai Museum and the pre-war colonial buildings along The Bund.
Day 4 – 17 April, Shanghai (B)
Day at leisure to either attend practice day at the circuit, or perhaps take an optional private day excursion to Zhujiajiao, an ancient water town with a 1,700 history (enquire for price).
Day 5 – 18 April, Qualifying Day (B)
Following breakfast at the hotel, your private transfer will take you to the track for qualifying day. After qualifying has ended, your private transfer returns you to your accommodation. The evening is at leisure.
Day 6 – 19 April, Chinese Grand Prix (B)
Your private transfer will collect you from your hotel and take you to the circuit for the 2020 Chinese Grand Prix. Enjoy the thrill of the race from your seats in Grandstand A, overlooking grid and pits.
Day 7 – 20 April, Shanghai to Xian (B)
Take your private transfer to Shanghai airport for your flight to Xian. On arrival you will be met by our representative and transferred to your accommodation for a two-night stay.
Day 8 – 21 April, Terracotta Warriors (B)
Today your guide will take you to visit the Terracotta Warriors, a mesmerising collection of 10,000, almost perfectly preserved, life size statues of Chinese warriors, made over 2,000 years ago. This will be followed, in the afternoon, by a visit to Xian’s ancient city wall, which is best explored on foot or by bike. It is the most complete city wall surviving in China today, and is one of the largest military defensive systems in the world.
Day 9 – 22 April, Xian to Beijing (B)
Your private transfer will collect you from your accommodation and take you to Xian station for your Bullet Train to Beijing. Relax in your First Class seats as the train speeds it’s way north to China’s capital city. On arrival at the station in Beijing, you will be met and transferred to your hotel to check-in for a three-night stay.
Day 10 – 23 April, Beijing (B)
Your day starts with a visit to the Temple of Heaven, where Ming and Qing emperors worshipped and prayed for good harvests for the year. This is followed by a stroll through Tiananmen Square to the Forbidden City, which was the grand imperial palace for centuries. Your final stop of the day will be at the Hutongs, an area of the city filled with traditional courtyard homes.
Day 11 – 24 April, The Great Wall (B)
Today visit the Great Wall at Mutianyu, a post along the wall offering breathtaking views of the surrounding countryside. Mutianyu was built in the mid-6th century and its rich history can be observed in its unique construction. This will be followed by an opportunity for photographs at the Birds Nest Stadium and Water Cube, venues for the memorable 2008 Olympics.
Day 12 – 25 April, Fly to UK (B)
Your private transfer will collect you from your accommodation and take you to the airport for your return flight to the UK.
