The Costa del Sol is renowned for its 100- kilometre Andalucia coastline that extends from San Roque near Gibraltar to Nerja at its easternmost point. Costa Brava

Costa de la Luz

The Costa de la Luz lies in the western part of the Andalucía coastline that faces out to the Atlantic. It stretches from Tarifa, located at the southern tip of Spain – where the Atlantic meets the Mediterranean, heads north and northwestwardly along the coast to Cádiz and Huelva, finishing at the mouth of the Guadiana River close to the Spanish Portuguese border. This is also the home of Doñana National Park, the most important nature reserve in Spain, offering spectacular nature with wetlands, marshlands, and unique wildlife, including colourful flamingos. Almenara Golf Club

Situated on the Sotogrande estate near the prestigious Valderrama and San Roque golf courses, The Almenara Golf Resort offers 3 unique sets of nine holes; Los Lagos, Los Pinos and Alcornoques. Following recent enhancements, the courses boast Bermuda grass and are characterised by terrain of pine trees and cork oaks in the front nine and with water on the back nine. A challenging golf course with narrow fairways and high lipped bunkers. Opened in 1998.

Real Club Valderrama Golf

This iconic golf course, played host to the thrilling 1997 Ryder Cup and currently the Andalucia Masters. The picturesque holes with greens protected by encroaching cork oaks provide a memorable golfing experience on one of Europe’s very best golf courses. Each hole offers its own challenge, with water coming into play on some holes, most notably the stunning par 5 17th hole. Its traditional Andalucian clubhouse with elegant and modern interior awaits you. Opened in 1974.

Golf Torrequebrada

Par 72, designed by Pepe Gancedo.

Designed by Spain’s most famous golf architect, Torrequebrada winds its way through the contours of the region offering a test to all levels of golfer. The raised tees provide a great look at the layout of holes, some of which are dog-leg. The course provides wonderful views of the surrounding mountains and the Mediterranean. Opened in 1976.

La Cala Campo America Golf Course

Par 72, designed by Cabell B. Robinson

Formerly the North Course and located at the foot of the Mijas Mountains, Campo America is enhanced by spectacular views to the Sierra de Ojén and Mediterranean Sea. It’s wide, linked fairways and relatively few bunkers make this a slightly easier driving course, though there is a lot of carry across steep brush-covered slopes. The small raised greens add a different type of demand on your approach play. Opened in 1990.

La Cala Campo Asia Golf Course

Formerly the South Course and most established of the 3 courses, the spectacular Campo Asia has plenty of challenging holes with narrow and hilly fairways. This challenging, but shorter course, puts a premium on accuracy of the tee and on the approach shot. The par 3, 11th hole provides some spectacular views of the resort and the Mediterranean. Opened in 1989.

La Cala Campo Europa Golf Course

Par 71, designed by Cabell B. Robinson

A dramatic course, easier of the 3 resort courses with generous fairways, flatter terrain and slightly larger greens. The River Ojén joins you on eight of the holes, providing a lovely feature and offering an extra test. La Cala Europa has played host to various events including Q-School for the Ladies European Tour and the Ivobank EuroPro Tour. Opened in 2005.

La Canada Golf Course

Par 71, designed Robert Trent Jones, updated by Dave Thomas.

Offering spectacular views of the Mediterranean, La Canada Golf Club is located in the Sotogrande Resort. Originally it was set up as a 9-hole course until Dave Thomas designed an additional 9 holes. The front nine have relatively level fairways, with the back nine more undulating. The sloping, manicured greens provide an intriguing test for all golfers. Opened in 1982.

The Westin La Quinta Golf Club

Par 70 / 71, designed by Manuel Pinero.

The course has 3 loops of nine holes, San Pedro Course, Ronda Course & Guadaiza Course, presenting a range of challenges for all levels of golfer. Pine trees feature on some holes with the Sierra Blanca Mountain Range offering a stunning backdrop. There is also a golf academy run by three time World Champion and former Ryder Cup player, Manuel Pinero. Opened in 2000.

Marbella Golf Country Club

Par 72, designed by Robert Trent Jones Senior.

Located just 5 minutes away from the cosmopolitan town of Marbella, offering wonderful views of the surrounding hills, olive groves and  the Mediterranean. The slender fairways and carefully placed bunkers provide a true test from both tee and approach play. The magnificent Club House has a restaurant with beautiful terraces providing sea views. Opened in 1994.

Estepona Golf Club

Par 72, designed by David Leader.

Built in the Spanish countryside offering a backdrop of the Sierra Bermeja Mountains that dominates the landscape behind the coastal town of Estepona. Estepona Golf Club is an undulating parkland course with eucalyptus and wild olive trees lining the fairways. Opened in 1989.

Hotel Barcelo Montecastillo Golf 5

Set within the Jack Nicklaus designed Montecastillo Golf Course, the modern resort features 2 outdoor pools, well-equipped spa centre, tennis courts and a fitness centre. The spa features a hydrotherapy circuit, a sauna and a Turkish bath. The El Lagar restaurant offers international and Spanish cuisine, while Ricardo’s Bar serves snacks. Barceló Montecastillo Resort Hotel is well located. Seville is an hour’s drive from the hotel.

Sherry Park Hotel 4★

Surrounded by lush gardens, the Sherry Park Hotel is only a 15 minute walk from the historical centre of Jerez. Water comes in to play on various holes with olive and pines trees also providing hazards off the tee and for approach shots. The finishing stretch of holes also add to this memorable golfing experience. A full range of practice facilities are provided including covered bays, putting and chipping greens. Opened in 1993.

Costa Ballena Ocean Golf Course

A venue for top national and international amateur events, along with being selected to host a European Tour qualifying event. The championship course is made up of 3 loops of 9, each named after the type of tree found at the course, has stunning holes located next to the spectacular coastline. This parkland golf course offers an interesting and different test for the golfer. Opened in 1997.

Sherry Golf Course

Par 72, designed by Global Golf Company.

This relatively new course, is well-designed course and has a mature feel of being in Jerez for much longer. Views from the course take in the local area and the traditional vineyards. The big challenge on the course is provided by the many beautiful lakes. The course’s excellent location provides the perfect stay for championship golf and experiencing Jerez’s old town. Opened in 2004.

Hotel Camiral at PGA Catalunya Resort 5★

This contemporary 5-star hotel is located next to the PGA Catalunya Golf Course. Facilities include an outdoor swimming pool and a spa with sauna, hot tub and hammam. À la carte cuisine is served at Hotel Camiral’s airy restaurant. The hotel also has a piano bar and a pub. You can enjoy drinks outside on the terrace in summer. Its signature 1477 Restaurant serves both local and European food. The hotel also has a piano bar and a pub. Rooms are decorated in natural colours and offer views of the surrounding countryside. PGA Catalunya Resort – Stadium Course

A host to European tour events and European Tour Qualifying School, the stadium course offers a variety of challenges expected of a course of this stature. Pines and cork trees line the fairways of this spectacular golf course that offers views of the Pyrenees. Lakes guard some of the greens so emphasis of smart approach play is a must. The course is long but offers various tee locations making it enjoyable for various levels of golfer. Opened in 1998.

PGA Catalunya Resort – Tour Course

Par 71, designed by Neil Coles and Angel Gallardo.

Less challenging than the Stadium course, but still offering a superb layout with testing holes. This tree lined course with generous fairways, water hazards and well-placed bunkers, has a variety of tee positions catering for all levels of golfer. Opened in 2005.

Emporda Links Course

Par 71, designed by Robert Von Hagge.

The Emporda Links Course is laid out amongst dunes and strategically place bunkers. There are some water features that add further interest to this challenging and fun course. Emporda Golf is the former host venue of European Tour and European Tour Qualifying School events, and the two Challenge Tour tournaments. Opened in 1990.

Emporda Forest Course

Neighbouring the Emporda Links Course, the fairways on Emporda Forest Course wind through traditional Mediterranean pines. Offering a different challenge, the Forest Course has lakes that feature on 5 holes that strategically protect the greens. Opened in 1990.

Golf De Pals

Par 73, designed by Hawtree Design.

The first course built in Costa Brava, Golf De Pals is an established and easy walking golf course with water coming into play on just the one hole. The fairways are lined with umbrella pines and the greens undulating. Keeping the ball in play off the tee provides the opportunity to shoot a good score. Opened in 1966.

Club Golf  D’Aro

Par 72, designed by Roman Espinosa.

Located more than 300 meters above sea level, offering panoramic views over the Mediterranean and the protected natural area of ​​the Gavarres Massif. One of the oldest golf courses on the Costa Brava, The course has various trees lining the holes including pine, cork oak and olive. Two large lakes come into play on some of the holes. Opened in 1992.
