Dubai Creek Golf & Yacht Club

Located next to the stretch of water that runs south from the coastal outlet and through central Dubai, this prodigious golf course has played host to the European Tour Desert Classic. A stunning layout that takes in the surrounding area offering a true feeling of playing golf in Dubai. The course was redeveloped in 2004 by European Golf Design, in association with Thomas Bjorn. Opened in 1993.

Emirates Golf Club – Majlis Course

The flagship course at Emirates Golf Club, Majlis Course (meaning ‘meeting place”) is the current host to the Omega Dubai Desert Classic, and was the first all-grass championship course in the region. The course features hundreds of indigenous species of flora and fauna, beautifully complemented by meandering fairways and seven fresh and saltwater lakes. The iconic and demanding 8th hole offers dramatic views of the Dubai skyline. Opened in 1988.

Emirates Golf Club – Faldo Course

Emirates Golf Club’s second championship golf course, this beautifully designed golf course can be played during the day or at night due to its LED floodlights throughout the course. The course lies next to a natural valley (wadi) boasting lakes and palm trees. Opened in 1996.

Jumeirah Golf Estates Earth Course

A challenging golf course that plays host to the annual DP World Tour Championship. This perfectly manicured golf course even has redwood chippings off the fairway making it attractive to the eye but still providing an examination for approach play. The closing holes will certainly test all standards of golfer, finishing on the iconic 18th hole, scene of many a dramatic golfing moment. The impressive clubhouse boasts wonderful facilities for golfers and non-golfers. Opened in 2009.

The Els Club

The manicured holes all constitute characteristics from Els’ favourite courses around the world, wonderfully recreating some of these design features in a desert landscape. With a selection of tee boxes, the courses measures from 6,200 yards to 7,500 yards from the Championship tees, catering for an enjoyable test for all standards of golfer. Facilities include the Butch Harmon School of Golf. Opened in 2008.

The Montgomerie

A links-land style oasis with over 200 acres and featuring 14 lakes and 81 bunkers which will challenge players of all levels. This resort style course with wide fairways and soft undulations is fully covered in Bermuda grass providing golfers with luxurious green surroundings. Opened in 2005.

JA The Resort Golf Course

Par 35, designed by Peter Harradine.

Previously used as a warm up event for the curtain-raising Dubai Desert Classic, playing host to legends including Tiger Woods and Ernie Els. This champion-standard 9-hole golf course is located around the central saltwater lake. The estate boasts native peacocks and exotic trees offering a resort oasis. The course provides scenic views of the Arabian Gulf. Opened in 1998.
